Hoffmeyer's Mill can reproduce many of your wood mouldings! All we need is a profile from you and an amount in feet and we will quote your job. We will do small runs of say one piece or large runs of house lots or additions to Heritage Homes that may require to keep things as close to original as possible.
If you were to mail me a foot long sample, that would be the best, or simply fax or email us a traced profile and we will give you an estimate on price as well as time to complete, with no obligation! You just need to tell us what kind of lumber, and the amount you need.
Hoffmeyer's has in our tool chest many different knives to choose from. Alternatively, we can have a knife custom ground for a reasonable cost to suit your requirements.
Hoffmeyer's Mill is also a dealer for Alexandria Mouldings and Royal Mouldings, who are larger production outfit that has a wide selection of factory run standard profiles that can be ordered through us. Pine , Oak , Maple, Finger joint Pine, cedar etc.
We should put a step by step of how to go about tracing a moulding profile, or how to cut a piece of moulding to send in the mail. Perhaps we could also have a downloadable sheet of available mould profiles?

Each image below displays work that we have completed. They also each trigger a section that expands to show you more detail about the project.

Gaspe, Quebec

Shelton, Connecticut
This historic building in Shelton Connecticut had beautiful arched windows that were badly in need of replacement. The customer removed one of the old windows and shipped it to us so that we could reproduce it as closely as possible. Using 2 1/4" thick African Mahogany as our material, we carefully figured out the appropriate layout, casings, and other embeshments. The stepped arch muntins meant our measurments had to be perfect as any errors would be extremely obvious. The result was, we made these windows like the old ones - except ours were even better!

Bayfield, Ontario
The Bayfield storefront project was challenging but also rewarding. Rather than just mimic the outline of the old window design, we were hired to directly recreate the incredible rounded mouldings that made these windows so unique. Many hours were spent recreating this lovely design and if you ever walk by the store in downtown Bayfield, you'll appreciate the level of detail and precision that went into this historic reproduction. The windows feature low E argon thermal units in order to conserve energy.
Here at Hoffemeyer's we work hard to ensure we have satisfied customers! Many people who have shopped at our mill end up sending us photos of their finished products and we take care to show those on our website and social media pages.
