Hoffmeyer's supplies/distributes and also mills solid wood flooring. Whether it be a small amount to fill in a missing or damaged section, or cover a large area of 5000 SF, we have you covered. We do our best to take the time to look after the small jobs as well as the larger jobs. All wood flooring that we offer has been kiln dried. What we offer is unfinished, raw wood, with no magical 20 layer space station finish applied. This way you choose and apply finish you wish the floor after it has been laid and sanded.
Pine floors are a very popular option that give a warm, country look. We have stock of 3/4" Red Pine and also 1 1/8" White Pine tongue and groove flooring. Nominal 6" boards are the widths, but we can also supply other species such as Fir or Cedar or a wider plank or even thicker stock for lofts on post/beam type structures. Hoffmeyer's keeps stock of 1" x 6" nominal (3/4" thick x 5 1/8" face + tongue) Red Pine T&G with 4" and 8" available as a special order. We recommend using a single width floor to help ensure you are working with materials machined from same lot, machined at the same time. Red Pine is harder than White Pine. It's cheaper as well which makes it a popular choice.
Note: we do not ship softwood flooring (Pine or Fir) to the USA due to SLA import regulations.
Oak and Maple, Cherry and Ash or other hardwoods are also available. We typically stock the traditional strip flooring that is 3/8" thick by 1 3/4" wide in Select grade Red Oak. This is the narrow strip type you may have seen in many homes that are50 to 90 years old. We can also supply 3/4" X 2 1/4"- 3 1/4" hardwood. Some clients can choose a wider plank custom hardwood floor with a face width of 5" + wider in width made to order.
We can even supply custom milled quarter-sawn random width Red or White Oak Plank flooring as well as Vertical Grain Douglas Fir, harder to find items that some say you cannot get any more. Well, here you can!
